| Internship at the ÅIPI |
|
The Åland Islands Peace Institute welcomes interns for different tasks and from different backgrounds. The internships are a way for the ÅIPI to promote and support development of knowledge and competence within the areas of interest for the institute. However, the ÅIPI has limited resources when in comes to premises and financing, why all interested unfortunately cannot be hosted and why financing in most cases needs to be granted from external sources (f.ex your University, a foundation or other sponsoring programmes such as Erasmus). Interns at the ÅIPI are working with various tasks, depending on the need of the organisation and the interests of the intern. Former interns have been students of for example Sociology, International Relations, International Law and languages, and have been working with various tasks such as arranging events and youth exchanges or writing essays and reports within different fields. We can also provide tasks for students with competences within IT, media and journalism, PR and layout as well as library and archive. If you want to apply for an internship, send us your CV and a short letter of motivation, stating why you are interested in an internship at the ÅIPI and what you would like to work with. Please slso provide relevant information about your institution and/or sponsoring programme. The ÅIPI accepts interns throughout the year, but if you are interested in an internship for the summer, be sure to apply early, preferably in February the same year. Interested?
