The right of domicile is one of the most important parts of the Ålandic autonomy system. The right of domicile is unique also in an international perspective. In June 2007, the Åland Islands Peace Institute together with the Parliament of Åland arranged a seminar in Helsinki about the right of domicile. The presentations are now published in the book "Den åländska hembygdsrätten". Contributors are Pauliine Koskelo, Sia Spiliopoulou Åkermark, Jouko Kinnunen, Anna-Lena Sjölund, Rhodri C. Wiliams, Gunnar Jansson and Peter Lindbäck. All texts, except for Rhodri Williams', are in Swedish.
